Ampcontrol's Exd Group 2 certified Infra-red gas detectors have proven performance with reduced maintenance requirements and low cost of ownership.
Infra-red gas detectors are superior to traditional catalytic sensors as there are no consumable sensor components, subsequently reducing the cost of ownership. The unit achieves high stability, requires minimal maintenance and can be calibrated without opening the enclosure. The electronic design is conducive to retrofitting conventional catalytic gas detectors, as the same field wiring can be used.
A "NO GAS" confidence test enables routine testing without the need for calibration test gases.
The Infra Red range includes sensors for CH4 and CO2. Special sensitivity types are also available including a Hydrocarbon unit that is used for defense and marine applications.
